One dad's
food-safety list
I'm a dad with two wonderful kids. I believe, deeply, that it's my job to give my two daughters and their mum the safest food and everyday products I can.
So in my spare time I started pulling together food-safety and product-safety standards from around the world, putting together my own take on things, and sharing what I found.
That's why I built Papa's List.
— Papa
Why I built this
- As a parent, the scariest risks are the ones you can't see or easily avoid — heavy metals, additives, allergens, endocrine disruptors
- To build an independent, continuously updated platform that covers only what matters, only what's evidence-based, only what's useful to parents
- To be alongside you as you make safer everyday choices
How we verify
- We reference government bodies, international organisations, and authoritative institutions
- We track the latest research and consumer test results
- We cross-check sources and note where each piece of data came from and when it was updated
- We explain the key points and recommendations in plain language
- We follow new evidence and update content regularly
What we won't do
- We don't take money from brands or run ads
- We don't sensationalise or make unverified claims
- We don't give medical advice or diagnoses
- We don't replace your own judgment — we give you reliable information to work with
